Surah Al-Fatihah
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ
Bismillah hir rahman nir raheem Alhamdu lillaahi Rabbil ‘aalameen Ar Rahmaanir-Raheem Maaliki Yawmid-Deen Iyyaaka na’budu wa lyyaaka nasta’een Ihdinas-Siraatal-Mustaqeem Siraatal-lazeena an’amta ‘alaihim ghayril-maghdoobi ‘alaihim wa lad-daaalleen

اللہ کے نام سے جو رحمان و رحیم ہے
تعریف اللہ ہی کے لیے ہے جو تمام کائنات کا رب ہے
رحمان اور رحیم ہے
روز جزا کا مالک ہے
ہم تیری ہی عبادت کرتے ہیں اور تجھی سے مدد مانگتے ہیں
ہمیں سیدھا راستہ دکھا
اُن لوگوں کا راستہ جن پر تو نے انعام فرمایا، جو معتوب نہیں ہوئے، جو بھٹکے ہوئے نہیں ہیں
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the entire universe. The Merciful, the Compassionate The Master of the Day of Recompense You alone do we worship, and You alone do we turn for help Direct us on to the Straight Way, The way of those whom You have favoured, who did not incur Your wrath, who are not astray
Hadith
Sahih Muslim: 806
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سےروایت ہے کہ جبرئیل علیہ السلام نبی اکرم ﷺ کے پاس بیٹھے ہوئے تھے کہ اچانک انھوں نے اوپر سے ایسی آواز سنی جیسی دروازہ کھلنے کی ہوتی ہے تو انھوں نے اپنا سر اوپر اٹھایا اور کہا: آسمان کا یہ دروازہ آج ہی کھولا گیا ہے، آج سے پہلے کبھی نہیں کھولا گیا، اس سے ایک فرشتہ اترا تو انھوں نے کہا: یہ ایک فرشتہ آسمان سے اترا ہے یہ آج سے پہلے کبھی نہیں اترا، اس فرشتے نے سلام کیا اور (آپ ﷺ سے) کہا: آپﷺ کو دو نور ملنے کی خوشخبری ہو جو آپﷺ سے پہلے کسی نبی کو نہیں دیئے گئے: (ایک ) فاتحہ الکتاب (سورہ فاتحہ) اور (دوسری) سورہ بقرہ کی آخری آیات۔ آپﷺ ان دونوں میں سے کوئی جملہ بھی نہیں پڑھیں گے مگر وہ آپﷺ کو عطا کر دیا جائے گا
Ibn Abbas reported: While the Angel Gabriel was sitting with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he heard a creaking noise above him. Gabriel raised his head and he said, “This is a door of heaven that has been opened today and it has never been opened before today.” Then an angel descended from it, and Gabriel said, “This angel descended to the earth today and he has never descended until today.” The angel greeted him with peace and he said, “Rejoice in two lights you have been given, which were not given to any prophet before you: the opening of the Book, Surat al-Fatihah, and the last verses of Surat al-Baqarah. You will never recite a letter from them but that you will be given.”
